What This Stage Teaches
- Imagination produces possibilities; decision chooses one; planning answers how you actually get there
- Without planning, imagination becomes fantasy
- Desire without an organized plan remains desire
- A real plan contains: objective, current state, gap, resources, constraints, sequence, metrics, risks, and contingencies
- Planning isn't opposed to faith, it's part of responsible action

Plan systematically around a definite purpose.
Scripture
Count the cost, seek counsel, plan diligently, but recognize that humans don't control the future. Plan seriously; hold the plan humbly.
The Hard Questions
- What goal am I pursuing without a real plan?
- What assumptions does my plan depend upon?
- What could kill the plan?
- What resource am I missing?
- What is the single most important next milestone?
- How will I know if I'm actually making progress?
Exercise
The One-Page Plan
Write: Goal, Deadline, Current position, Five major milestones, Next action, Biggest risk, Fallback plan. That's enough to turn abstract ambition into something executable.

Stories for This Stage
From Scripture
Before Nehemiah tells a single person in Jerusalem what he intends to do, he goes out at night, alone, and rides around the broken walls to see the actual damage for himself. Only after he's seen the real scope of the problem does he reveal his plan and start organizing the rebuilding, assigning specific sections to specific families and groups. The vision came first, but it wasn't acted on until he understood exactly what he was working with. Nehemiah 2:11-18.
